Welcome to the online home of my cocktail adventures and alcohol musings. Pour yourself a glass & stay awhile
People ask me all the time about what cocktail books I like, tools I can recommend, syrups and mixers that I buy and so many other things. So I decided to include them all here with their affiliate links to Amazon for simplicity.
This Scotch Whisky tasting journal is way more than just a place to write notes. It has cocktail recipes, facts about whisky, fun quotes and a comprehensive list of distilleries by region (which is practically impossible to find on the internet!)
These Elevated Craft hybrid cocktail glasses take your practical cocktail glass to the next level. The glass is a break-resistant and dishwasher safe borosilicate with measurement markings inside it so you can make a drink right in the cup. The insulated base prevents sweating and kept it cold for hours. A single 2” cube lasted for 4 hours through 4 separate drinks being poured in over the top of it. Recommend!
I love this recipe book of batched cocktails. They are simple to make, but still have sophisticated flavor profiles. Make them ahead, put them in the fridge (or on ice) and enjoy your own party. Bonus, the non-alcoholic recipes are just as good!
This Oxo Jigger has easy to read measurements by quarter ounce inside, so you can accurately measure spirits or mixers easily. I have been making cocktails for years and I still swear by it. Leave the free pouring to the movies! Measuring is where it is at!
This is my favorite mixing glass. It’s made by Viski and holds 27 ounces which is large enough to easily make two cocktails. The weighted base prevents tipping.
My dear friend, and talented cocktail creator, Dan Magro wrote this easy to use cocktail book called ‘Suck it Up, Extraordinary Cocktails for Everyday People’. It features ingredients and spirits you can find anywhere with simple and approachable recipes.
Nothing ruins a Gin & Tonic like bad grocery store tonic water. There are lots of great tonic water brands on the market these days. But my favorite technique is actually a tonic syrup. It is made with fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor, stores in the fridge for ages, takes up almost no room and yields amazing results by simply adding club soda. Bradley’s Kina Tonic gets my personal top billing. Bring on summer!
